Leeds City Council has launched Wrap Up Leeds +, a new scheme offering private residents energy saving grants, loans and funding for home improvements that save money and reduce fuel bills.

Register on Wrap Up Leeds + and get interest free loans and grants for: external wall insulation, spray foam insulation, bead cavity wall insulation, gas central heating, a boiler replacement, double glazing and much more.

If you're a homeowner or rent privately in the Leeds area, you can take advantage of a broad range of energy efficiency services for little or no cost.
Once you register on Wrap Up Leeds + you could access energy saving grants or interest free loans to cover the installation of effective products that will improve your household’s thermal efficiency.
You could get a grant or a loan for one or more of the following energy saving home improvements:
 • External wall insulation for solid wall properties
• Spray foam insulation for uneven and narrow cavity walls
• Bead cavity wall insulation
• Standard cavity wall insulation
• Loft insulation
• Double glazing
• High performance external doors
• Gas central heating
• Boiler replacement
(Subject to survey – any private tenants will need their landlords permission to proceed)
Many of these home improvements are usually expensive to install, but through Wrap Up Leeds + you can reap the benefits without breaking the bank.
If you live in a home that is hard to heat, has solid walls or narrow cavities, you can now access affordable energy saving solutions that will improve the look and feel of your property and help you save energy for years to come.
The scheme is not means tested and is available to all homeowners and private renters in the Leeds area. Anyone can apply for a loan or a grant (subject to survey), however the level of funding may vary depending on your property type or personal circumstances.
Wrap Up Leeds + is managed by YES Projects on behalf of Leeds City Council.

What Happens When You Complete a Wrap Up Leeds + Pre-assessment?

In the next few days a Wrap Up Leeds + advisor will call you to ask a few more questions about your property and living situation which will help tell us the level of funding we can access.
Depending on your property’s suitability and your personal circumstances, we may be able to fully fund the cost of your chosen home improvements or provide a grant to contribute towards any work carried out.
If the grant does not cover the full home improvement costs, you will have the option to either take out an interest free loan to pay for the work in instalments, or submit a single payment.
All the funding, grants and loans available on Wrap Up Leeds + are managed by YES Projects, who are delivering the scheme on behalf of Leeds City Council. Please be assured that the Wrap Up Leeds + team will discuss all your options with you before any work is carried out. |

To ensure that your property is suitable for the work, we will refer your details to an official Wrap Up Leeds + installer. They will then contact you to arrange a free technical survey of your home. You may be contacted by one or more installers depending on the work you require. If you have any concerns or want to check the identification of an installer, please contact the Wrap Up Leeds + team on: 0800 052 0071. |

If your property is technically suitable and you are happy for the work to go ahead, we will arrange for an official Green Deal Advisor to visit your home and complete the assessment process. This last assessment enables us to obtain the funds to complete your installation. |

If you are required to make a customer contribution and are happy to proceed, YES Projects will process your payment following your installation.
If you have decided to take out an interest free loan, we will send the information recorded in your final assessment to Leeds City Credit Union who will complete your application. |

Finally, the installers will arrange an installation date and carry out the work. You can then sit back, relax and enjoy the benefits of a warmer and more comfortable home. |
About Wrap Up Leeds +
 The Wrap Up Leeds + scheme has been designed to make traditionally expensive home improvements accessible to Leeds homeowners and private renting tenants. By introducing energy saving grants and loans that cover or contribute towards installation costs, householders can start saving energy immediately without worrying about substantial payouts.
Wrap Up Leeds + is the second stage of Leeds City Council's successful Wrap Up Leeds scheme, which has installed over 9,000 free cavity wall insulation and free loft insulation measures in Leeds homes throughout 2012.
The new scheme uses a new Government funding stream which will particularly help residents in properties that are hard to heat or unsuitable for standard energy saving services (e.g. traditional cavity wall insulation).
Products such as: external wall insulation, spray foam insulation, bead cavity wall insulation, double glazing and gas central heating will be the main focus of Wrap Up Leeds +.
Leeds City Council has appointed energy efficiency specialists, YES Projects to deliver Wrap Up Leeds +. The organisation is part of the award winning Yorkshire Energy Services group who have delivered a multitude of effective energy saving schemes across the UK including the first phase of Wrap Up Leeds.
YES Projects manage a national network of small to medium sized installer organisations and are committed to supporting the local economy by boosting local supply chains. All the installers working on Wrap Up Leeds + are industry accredited and local to the Leeds area.
